FAQ

  • How long does a home inspection take?
The average home inspection will take approximately 2-4 hours depending on the size of the home.
  • Should I be there for the inspection?
While it is not necessary to attend the entire inspection, we do recommend that you plan to arrive towards the end of the inspection so the inspector can give you a verbal overview of the report and touch on any points of interest.
  • What will a home inspection cost?
The cost of a home inspection will vary depending on the square footage, specific features and age of the home.
  • Can a house fail inspection?
No. A professional home inspection is a visual examination of the current condition of the property. A home inspector will not pass or fail a house, but rather describe in detail its physical condition and indicate what may need repair or replacement.
  • What license do you carry?
I am a full-time inspector and hold a Professional Real Estate Inspectors license which is the highest level issued by TREC. To obtain a Professional Real Estate Inspectors license you must complete 330 hours’ worth of course work and training in all disciplines. To retain said license you must complete 16 hours of continued education each year.
